Maslak Palace is a complex of pavilions consisting of the imperial palace, the reception building and the private area of the Sultan, the tent palace and the greenhouse.
Compared to the other magnificent sultan palaces, this one is rather simple in its appearance. It was built during the reign of Mahmud II (1808-1839). The palace served Abdülhamid II mainly as a hunting lodge and as an oasis of peace. You can find the hunting lodge of Maslak between the historic districts Istinye and Tarabya.
