📖 A Brief History of Yıldız Palace

Yildiz Palace Entrance Tickets

Built in the 1880s during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid II, Yıldız Palace became the beating heart of the Ottoman Empire in its final years. It was here that the Sultan ruled the country, hosted foreign diplomats, and created a self-contained world with theaters, libraries, workshops, and gardens.

The palace complex expanded to house 12,000 people, including soldiers, servants, artists, and officials. Today, it stands as a rare and powerful symbol of the empire’s final chapter — quieter than Topkapı, but just as majestic.
